A couple of things here. (1) There is, without a doubt, a large contingent of petty tyrants hiding behind the badge. For a subset of scumbags, the badge allows them to live out their authoritarian fantasies. It's largely what attracts them to the job. No one should be supporting those fuckers. Everyone should be recording and posting evidence of those fuckers being tyrants. (2) There also exists a large contingent of people who put on the badge to serve their communities and the rule of law. We won't be seeing most of these people on video because a cop walking by and not harassing you isn't something you're going to capture. A cop saying that the mask mandate is bullshit and walking away after a conversation isn't something a lot of people are going to post about because it puts the cop in a tough situation (his or her kids can't eat principles so sometimes quietly doing the right thing is the right thing to do).
There is a small but vocal group of anarchists and those who hate law enforcement on this site, don't fall for their shitty rhetoric. People who say they support Trump who are parroting the Antifa/BLM "Defund the Police" shit are not on the same page. Bad cops should be exposed and crushed, publicly. Good cops should be left alone to do their jobs.
