Basically I am planning to go to the January 6th DC Rally. Need input and advice. I was on the Discord that got nuked, so I don't have anywhere to turn.

  • Phone: I've heard I should use a burner phone if possible. What does that mean? I have some spare phones but don't have a spare phone plan. Is there a place to buy a short term phone plan?

I have read about not connecting to public WiFi. If I'm using a short-term burner plan, then that means I would use up data, right? (In theory I'd only be doing this for the single day of January 6 and would use my regular phone at other times.)

I already have a VPN account I use for my phone, but still need some help planning.

  • Gun / Conceal Carry: I want to bring my everyday conceal carry with me. I have a Conceal Carry Permit. I know I can bring an unloaded gun in checked-luggage on an airplane if I declare and package it properly. What about ammunition?

Also, are there any insane technicalities to Washington DC gun-laws I need to know? I don't want to get arrested on some stupid inanity.

  • Body Armor: I'm bring my own body armor. I can't imagine this would be a problem, but checking if anyone knows otherwise? It's just a modern bullet-proof vest and plates.

  • COVID-19: I have heard that I need to have proof of a negative result on a COVID-19 test to enter Washington DC? Is this true? How should I do get this?

  • Beware Covert Operatives: I have been warned about overly friendly people, trying to flirt and stuff. Could be undercover cops trying to get me. Any advice for what to watch for?

ANYTHING ELSE or other advice to give a soon to be traveler, frens?

Good God man. Dont use an old phone. Watch the wire on HBO. A burner phone is an untraceable phone. By a phone cash from a gas station or wherever that sells them, preload the phone with minutes by buying minutes in cash. DC does not honor other states, at all, so do not bring your gun unless you're willing to be locked up and fight a seriously legal battle. Don't know about body armor and the legality of it in DC.

Thanks for the info. I hope that Trump in his 2nd term pushes forward with the National Reciprocity for conceal carry licenses. Really should have been done a very long time ago.

I agree, the east coast is shit for reciprocity. D.C. is probably the worst in the nation for carry concealed.

Looking over the link provided, it is kind of absurd. Open carry is not legal, and Conceal Carry is not only very difficult to obtain, it is illegal if you are wearing any form of mask. So basically, non-legislative COVID mask requirements + Local Law has removed your 2nd amendment right. Absolute horseshit.

There is some legal need for clarification, such as whether wearing a mask for so called health requirements would constitute attempts to conceal one's identity. But let's be honest: The Swamp Creatures and the Left would absolutely use any excuse to prosecute the innocent and protect the guilty. It wouldn't be the first time honest people have been punished by tyrannical legal technicalities.

I guess I'm not bringing my gun with me. Sigh.... Oh well. That saves some other headaches.

Its seriously fucked up. Legally you're fucked unless you're willing to spend millions to fight it.

Fly in, stay safe, don't get arrested, and let your voice be heard.

It's illegal to carry in DC using any protest. Be smart

Thanks. I truly did not know this, which is why I asked.

What it comes down to is are you willing to risk your freedom now to retain it for future generations. I suspect many will come armed. Whatever you decide, let it be an informed decision, and don't post your decision here.

Ammunition depends on the flight number and the airline--requirement is factory packaging, and usually a weight limit (Alaska Air is 50 pounds on most flights).
