It would violate the separation of powers - the power of taxation belongs to the Legislature.
Since we're stuck with a progressive tax system and small changes are always easier to get passed, I'd like to see the first $100k of income be completely income tax free...
BUT, I'd really like for the federal government to go back to something closer to the original system of taxation: apportionment among the States. Allow each State to determine how to pay its tax bill... of course, then you'd have 50 States challenging expensive spending, so Congress would never go for it... something that would need to be forced into law.
As an alternative, funding the federal government with a permanently fixed sales tax rate would be workable... but protections to prevent inflationary monetary policies would need to be in place.
How about an EO ordering all stores, shops, without exception to open and return to normal schedules. ANY state that attempts to violate the EO will lose ALL federal funding effective immediately.
How so? Can you let me know what the income tax that you pay actually buys you? Please provide me with a list, and I mean just the personal income tax.
And if we were to eliminate the income tax how much money would the government still be getting? I haven't researched this lately but based on passed research I bet they'd still get as much money as they got 10 - 15 years ago.
I have kids, they need to pay the money back along with interest for the rest of their lives.
Getting so sick and tired of this Bull Shit. And just so you know, those people, they only pay a grand total of about 25% of all income taxes.
Who here thinks that the baby boomers and older people who brought our nation to this point in history should have social security and Medicare stripped from them so our children will have a chance to live free instead of under a permanent life of slavery?
How about everyone. I don’t like class envy or division.
$200k is a far fucking cry from billions in net worth. $200k is an average family in many places.
$200k is a really arbitrary number and I can't stand that shit. That's class warfare socialist shit. No thanks.
Income tax. One of those other 'temporary measures' for our own good.
It would probably do much better long term to halt all taxes for a year instead of passing this absurd stimulus bill.

And do NOT sign that damn bill
Umm yea.... Let's destroy our country faster.

So it's ok to steal from those who "have enough."
Fuck that. No income taxes.
Yeah, no.

My children love me tremendously. They have a good life. Love. Enough love to teach them right. Apparently you never were taught right from wrong.
200k doesn't even get me started in S Cali, considering half already gets taken out for state taxes practically....
