It's simple, the west coast has had it the worst this year, they have some of the most insane covid crap restrictions and then also the summer filled with forest fires that were set by left wing terrorists. People in places like Georgia just aren't as fired up because they don't have a reason to be. I've been in the south a few times lately and I just don't see the stimulation there right now that is pushing people over the edge whereas conservatives in places like Oregon have been slapped around like slaves all year and are going through hell.
