They hate the self employed and small business owners because they can’t be controlled. If you work for a large corporation, you have to follow their rules or risk getting fired. You say something offensive on the internet or get spotted at a right wing event, you get a call from HR the next day. That’s how they want it to be. The government can’t suppress free speech, but your employer can. The self employed are a liability. They can’t threaten them with termination.
That and its harder to get them to comply with taxes. A million ways to Sunday to cheat the tax man if your self employed or a small business owner. Can't do much if you get a W2 and a copy goes to the IRS and your state.
Furthermore, Dem governors were told to shut down their cities and bankrupt them because after the Democrats cheated and installed China Joe, they would get big blue city bail out money from the HEROES ACT, which they could siphon funds out of like they always do.
