Absolutely.
People don't seem to realize the whole of society is built upon violence. Your rights come directly from violence. Your country was born from violence. The law is enforced by violence. Violence is at the heart of many of our greatest heroes, and grandest narratives. Violence is a requisite of self-defense. Even pacifists rely on violence by proxy.
The government itself is monopolized violence. Democracy is violence substituted by voting.
It makes perfect sense to have a preference for nonviolence. But it makes no sense at all to refuse and abstain from violence under all circumstances.
Violence is as crucial to our existence as love is.
It clearly works for the left. If the 6th ends with us giving up, then we deserve everything that comes after.
