I'm not a big fan of rich people, but the MOST fucked thing to me is the inheritance tax (I think it goes for property for middle class too). You get taxed on your wages, you pay sales tax, you pay property tax and when you die, that house you worked your ass off to pay off your entire life, gets mother fucking taxed again because you wanted to leave it to your family to do what they will with it.
largely it's a way to prevent people from building generational wealth and adding new people to the ranks of the wealthy. makes it harder generation by generation to continue improving things for the lives of your children and leaving them with more so that your progeny can continue becoming wealthy until your descendants live a life of luxury you could hardly imagine, and your ancestors would never have believed
for the rich that isn't a concern since they have many different ways to avoid all that bullshit. like many taxes it's sold to the masses as a way to soak the rich and really stick it to those fat cats but the only people it actually affects are the middle class since the rich know how to dodge the penalties and the poor don't have anything to be taxed. this is why leftists are useful idiots, they screech all day long about eating the rich and the growing divide between the rich and poor in this country and they keep voting for the people that are causing it.
