AFAIK I have never seen it done openly for a name able person. But I know of some local examples where person X did thing against the will of Party A and then was promptly arrested for taking bribes and did jail time. This is a small potatoes position in a nowhere town in every instance, but the parties don’t like being stabbed in their back by Trump.
