I'm not one for whining about the Constitution when something doesn't go our way, but the ability of the legislature to override a veto by the President feels like a real abuse of the executive branch's power.

I'm sure the purpose is to prevent a tyrannical leader from completely obstructing the will of the people, but in this day and age when our "representatives" on both sides of the aisle are crooked elites not merely ignoring the will of their constituents but actively using their plight (CAUSED by abusive local governments) as leverage in order to enrich both themselves and anti-American interest groups at the continued expense of the very citizens they were tasked to represent... that old notion of if becoming necessary to "dissolve the political bonds" comes to mind.
