Civil War is like a gun. It's the absolute last resort. You have to exhaust all other options before using it because there's no going back. Trump is really trying to get them to see that before it's too late. They don't understand that unless they suddenly "discover" the evidence of fraud and overturn the election things are going to get bloody fast. He is trying to save America in its current form for better or worse. He's giving them every chance to do so because he cannot stop what comes next.
Why? Because "The United States of America" won't exist in its current form after a civil war. It didn't after the war between the colonies and the empire. It didn't after the war between the union and the confederacy. Hundreds of thousands of men died in a bloody war. Things would not return like they did before. After the revolution the colonies were no longer part of the empire. After the civil war the "states" were no longer independent run entities but little regions of one consolidated nation.
Thinking "oop we'll have a civil war then go back to good old American apple pie" is delusional. "America" as the country you know and knew will be gone. Something else will exist in its place. That is the reality of war.
Just like a gun, civil war is a tool. You will be happy to have it when you need it. You had better have it when you need it. But it's not something you want to pull out until you absolutely need to. Because life changes forever once that trigger is pulled.
This. There is no going back to the way things were, but 1789 was better than 1773, and 1876 was better than 1860, and there is a pretty good chance that 2030 will be better than 2020. The Revolutionary war was a civil war you know. Civil war years are harrowing. We don't know how this will end if we fight, and we only have an idea (a pretty good one) of how things will go if we don't. But fighting a civil war requires a lot more than willingness. There's questions of organization, leadership, logistics, intel, and no one is really ready.
If there's a civil war it will not start on January 6, and it may not even start in 2021. If there's a civil war it will be like the last time: States deciding to fight. Texas has its own military apart from the national guard, and it's the only State to have that. Texas also has a Federal Reserve bank, and say what you like about the Fed, but having one in your pocket is a big deal if you want to fight a war.
If there's a civil war, it will start in Texas or Florida.

Also we have our own electrical grid.
