A smart idea.

Imagine if the next senator also chose to read the entirety of the bill, while also giving their input per line item.

They'll cut this shit out real quick

That’s something I’ve wanted to be a law for a long time. My proposal, of course we’d need to rewrite it to remove any loopholes

  1. Each proposed bill or amendment must be read by the sponsors in their entirety on the floor of the House/Senate

  2. Voting cannot take place until the entire bill or amendment has been read and there is at least one hour of debate per section

  3. No Representative/Senator is allowed to vote if they were not personally present for the entire reading. If that reduces the number below what’s required for a quorum, well, sucks to suck. Be present for the next reading
