So I was just on a jobsite and told to put a mask on. I refused and said osha requires a certain oxygen saturation level and masks deny you of that. I walked out side and the dude walks out to the group of owners and starts bad mouthing me in earshot. So I was like dude I can get osha out here and we can ask them about their policies. Needless to say I got kicked off the job and they called my office. I'm debating actually calling osha out here now lol.

Yep. Can confirm. We were preached at about waivers for dust masks and how OSHA requires breathing tests to wear masks on site. Suddenly covid hits and my employer COMPLETELY throws all that bullshit out the window.
HIPAA has been similarly treated this way, all because of a head cold with a 99.99%survival rate.

In about '93 I was on a job in Austin, new Motorola facility. Union job, we had union troubles and sabotages during the year and a half it was being built. But the General Contractor there was using illegal labor anyhow.
One day INS showed up to arrest just one guy. Suddenly several hundred hispanics took off running all over the job site, in just a few minutes all the laborers were gone. This was about 10 in the morning. After lunch they decided to close the job down for the day, no laborers and union guys could not do their own labor. Next day they kept most of the job closed, I worked because none of that shiite affected me, I was an electrical equipment manufacturer's field engineer helping with gear in the clean rooms.
That job was shut down for several days as the General Contractor arranged for Labor, the illegals wouldn't come back. So the running joke became 'mess with me and I'll call INS', or if you wanted a day off you might jokingly threaten the boss with that. We were working 60 hour weeks so a day off was hard to find.
Kinda like calling firefighters because you know the cops won't come, huh.

And they're ain't a shop not jobsite in the world that gets a perfect score from an OSHA inspector. One of my works emails was about checking bench grinders because another shop was fined 14k, 7k per plate that wasn't at the proper distance from the grinding wheel.
Call every agency involved in regulation of the site. If nothing else it will be a nuisance.
Do it. The only reason companies do the mask dance is because they're afraid they'll be held liable if someone comes down with covid after visiting their facility. The only way they're going to change is if you make them more afraid of losing money to things like OSHA audits than lawsuits.
All businesses operate off of risk assessments. They'll take the least risky avenue almost always. Make mask mandates more risky than the alternatives.
I'm dealing with it as well. I said I have asthma and they asked me for a drs note. I said I don't have to supply you with anything and I was kicked off
