Everyone should be bare minimum taking C, D3, and zinc every day.

also being less obese

ghost_of_aswartz 3 points ago +3 / -0

There is a connection between d deficiency and obesity

being obese means you require more vit D (3x as much for BMI > 30, according to mercola), and so that's why if you're fat you can develop D deficiency faster

That said, D does seem to reduce obesity slowly, and mostly that's from normalizing inflammation and putting calcium back where it's needed, and fixing lots of other stuff in the body

"Patients with deficiencies of the sunlight vitamin in the study were also more likely to have hypertension and heart disease, as well as experience longer hospital stays."

I wonder where the heart disease correlation came from...

Being stuck indoors, and eating extra, doesn't help for that either.

So, white people need only to stand out in the sun for a little while to defeat the virus.

2
iPissExcellence 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's why cases went down in the summer.

crash7863 2 points ago +2 / -0

They add vitamin D to some milk too. So... eating cereal, even Frosted Flakes, could defeat the virus.

Of course, cause mass hysteria and 11 months later the truth comes out.

This is exactly why we have the mantra "stay inside" Virus wasnt deadly enough, had to steer the population in as unhealthy a direction as possible.

Vitamin D is CRUCIAL for our immune systems. I've read studies that say if you feel like you're getting sick, you can take a very high dose of it and it can actually help you get fight off whatever you're coming down with. I've tried it myself, and it's worked. Vitamin D is a hormone, not a vitamin. It helps with blood sugar/insulin regulation, reproductive hormone regulation, brain chemical regulation, and many more things. Most people are already deficient in it because we are told to slather ourselves in sunscreen and stay out of the sun. This lockdown just made it worse. I've read other studies that said if your Vitamin D levels are high, you are very unlikely to even get the flu at all.

If you can't go outside every day for 10-20 minutes of sunscreen-free sun exposure, I highly highly recommend taking Vitamin D supplements. Do some research for yourself.

You're GD right, it does! JAPAN is leading the way on this! They figured this out early on but Big PHARMA fucks science! I'm a jaded old nurse because of this shit! It's fucking criminal.

MerlynTrump 1 point ago +1 / -0

Are you a 187 year old nurse? You've been around 7 years longer than Biden has been in the Senate.

1
NURSE187 1 point ago +1 / -0

187 is a homicide reference. I use it because I am killing it at being a nurse. IMO.

Yes. It has been known that urban blacks develop "rickets" bone disorder because of vitamin D deficiency...that's why they started adding it to milk.....in the 19 THIRTIES....

D deficiency in urban blacks (ie: americans) is not new. What's new is that they have become so institutionally racist against white people that they don't do white people things, like take vitamins. They think it's something affluent white poeple do to throw their money away (also poor people of all colors generally have this opinion). So they don't do it, and they get covid faster

the end

I mean...it does appear that covid is designed to kill off the old, the sick, the poor and blacks..

But then you find out it's targetting people who are vit D deficient (and zinc, selenium, magnesium and C). Covid is the manifestation of a mineral and hormone deficiency

Taking D since march and been around a ton of covid during for my work where I visited nursing homes, colleges, jails, etc...

Northern areas can't get vitamin d from the sun in the winter. That's part of why NY area was hit so hard in March. Make sure to take oral vitamin d.

Most people usually always have a vitamin D deficiency. It's really not uncommon.

They're throwing everything and the kitchen sink to make covid seem worse than it really is and it gets cringier and cringier as time goes on and the more BS they make up.

NetherPede 0 points ago +1 / -1

Maybe search "80% vit d deficiency" and actually read one of the many articles? It sounds like you are implying they are saying covid causes vit D deficiency, which is not what they are saying... In fact they say they are not sure what causes the correlation.

"The study marked the latest research trying to determine whether vitamin D deficiencies contribute to worse cases of COVID-19 — or if the correlation can be explained by patients who are high risk for the virus, such as older populations and the immunosuppressed, being more likely to have lower levels of the vitamin."

I think it's obvious both are true and that this study is silly, but they are not trying to make it out like covid causes the deficiency.

1
WiseDonkey 1 point ago +1 / -0

The 80% stat is really not useful without knowing what percentage of the general population is deficient.

2
NetherPede 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think it was something like 47% in the control group. Don't quote me though. (search for "80% vit d deficient")

I'm not sure how the 80% is useful now though, it doesn't change the fact that all this study and the articles based on it just tell us "immune deficiencies put you at risk" which we didn't need this study for, still useless...

maga_mama_757 0 points ago +1 / -1

This is a dumb study. Dr at my last physical said I was vitamin D deficient; I attribute that to my having been on lockdown for two months. It's like they're doing everything they can to scare people. How about publicizing the studies that show masks have very little effect?!

2
iPissExcellence 2 points ago +2 / -0

Vitamin D deficiency is the easiest thing to fix and keep you healthy...not sure why you're so pissed your doc told you you're deficient. It's the truth that it helps fight viruses.

1
maga_mama_757 1 point ago +2 / -1

I'm not pissed, I'm not sure why you got that impression. I gladly went and bought some vitamins and spent more time outdoors. :) I was pointing out the study is silly, as it doesn't account for who knows how many people were already deficient; and that its only point is further fear mongering.

3
NetherPede 3 points ago +3 / -0

Ikr, "Bad immune system puts you at risk for catching diseases. Who knew?!?!?!" I agree the study is silly and I seriously question the intelligence of the people involved, but I don't think this is fear mongering. If anything they are just missing the obvious while still telling people to make sure their vit D is topped up...

---edit: what pisses me off is that what used to be common knowledge (take your vits, get your sun, etc) has been completely ignored by pretty much everyone and everything. The most basic advice that has been common knowledge for a very long time hasn't shown up in any "corona information" anywhere.

My point is they are keeping us indoors to kill many more of us!

4
HaasKonijn1 4 points ago +4 / -0

i'm sure of that also. lockdowns are depleting imune system also by only staying inside.

1
ghost_of_aswartz 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wearing the mask will harm you faster than staying indoors

1
jigglyp33n 1 point ago +1 / -0

No not quite. But you would need to know the portion of the general population that's vitamin D deficient (apparently 42% if this random ass site is to be trusted https://www.cantonmercy.org/healthchat/42-percent-of-americans-are-vitamin-d-deficient/).

Well now you have a predictor of infection. The relationship is not causal but it's damning. At the very least you could take a vitamin D supplement, which is dirt cheap. At the very most you might look at the colinearities between vitamin D deficiency and lifestyle choice and clean those other habits up as well.
