I'm going to hurt some feelings with this post, but I'm sick and tired of hearing people say they can't go on January 6th because they've got a family or kids. Guess what, we all have families. I've got a 13 year old son and I don't want him to endure the devastation 4-8 years of a Xi Jinping administration would do to the his job market and his freedoms.

I think it will be fine during the day. As long as people stick together and leave before dark. It you have enough people, it should be fine. I think though that mothers with small children are right to stay home.
This is one of the reasons Americans always have lower turnout for protests than other countries. Family values are lost, we kick our kids out on the street at 18 and tell them tough luck. And we wonder why we are all subserviant to the government and the banks.

ok, so you're going to leave little kids alone at home while you go out and pretend elected officials give a flying FUCK what you have to say? They're going to do what they're going to do no matter if a hundred or a cool million show up. You're not going to force their hand up in objection if they weren't going to already. They know you won't resort to violent threats so they aren't scared in the slightest by people saying they're coming to DC to protest. They literally DO NOT CARE. I know people think they're helping by showing up but at best it's likely just going to be a show of appreciation for a great President who will have his second term ultimately stolen from him, a last hurrah, a show of gratitude. If no Senators or Congressmen have come forward other than those we know already, none will on Jan 6th, no matter what transpires between now and then, people need to stop thinking protesting non-violently gets you anywhere in 2020. We've seen that it doesn't. SCTOUS doesn't care, Law Enforcement is "just doing their jobs", we have mountains of evidence and people in power don't care, they just want Trump gone because he's "rocked the boat too much". They want to go back to politics as usual, fucking the people over so they can keep their cushy jobs they only really have to worry about when they need votes to continue another term
