Do it Sir! Make them override the Veto!

Nah, man. Pocket Veto. Sit on it for 10 days. Then, right before it would automatically go into effect, veto it. If they don't continue to work for those 10 days, it fails and nullifies. Even if they DO, then he vetoes it and they have to vote again.Original

So Trump can first force them to work through Christmas, and THEN fuck them all.

I wish it was this nice but these assholes can go home and leave an intern in roll call and it would still count as them working. Then they'll do it again. We really need to somehow clean house if we want to fix this.

They can work from home 10 minutes per day. It won't work, unfortunately.

If I count right, we're close to a pocket veto being possible.

Sundays don't count. There's nothing about Holidays. 10 days less Sundays takes us to 1/2/2021, the last day of the 116th Congress. The 117th Starts on the 3rd at noon.

It turns on when the Bill cleared Congress and was sent to Trump. Once passed (Monday) the actual bill is prepared by the House Clerk and printed, and then signed by key members of congress, then physical transferred to the oval. Not certain of the 10 day clock starts when they pass it, or when the paper arrives in the Oval, but the printing and signature process would take up some time.

Trump has told them to fix it and seems unhappy with it.

A1S7 US Constitution

If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be a Law.
