It actually made me so sad that Benedict XIV abdicated. I grew up under John Paul II and he was such an impressive guy that i thought that popes were just amazing guys who serve until they drop dead. Francis is a radical maniac who basically made me never want to set foot in mass again and i now wonder if Benedict was forced out by a radical faction in the church but I really doubt i will practise catholicism ever again. I may or may not marry in a church, i would never have pictured doing it any place else when i was younger but the thought of giving them any of my money makes my stomach turn.
