Mooma, I'm going directly to my representatives and senators. I want the names of all the sponsors and of all the people involved with producing each provision of the bill - as well as the history you mentioned. I have the extraordinary good fortune of having maga elected officials in Congress and I will share here what I learn from them. Please don't stop your own investigation, however. You might retrieve answers before me.

Merry Christmas and God's Eternal Blessings to you! MAGA!

So far, I cannot find this amendment in the final bill. Not in the NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT 2021 HR 6395. And not in the stimulus/OMIBUS bill (consolidated appropriations act). Maybe it's somewhere else.

Here's the amendment itself https://www.congress.gov/amendment/116th-congress/house-amendment/833 it was basically vote on party lines 214-190, with one R yay, the rest NAY. 14 dems NAY the rest YAY. Here's the roll call https://www.congress.gov/amendment/116th-congress/house-amendment/833

Thank you for digging this far, Pede. You've helped with my own research and at least, I can write a little more intelligently to my reps. AND, I think it would have taken DAYS for me to get even this far (so much going on right now). I will share what I find when I can get some responses from our 'electeds'.
