I vape and am just hearing this. These bastards have been attacking this wonderful industry for years. It breaks my heart because in the beginning you had SO many jobs created, SO much creativity and new products, and the prices were incredibly low. The longer it's been around it just keeps getting more expensive and options going away thanks to government. How the vaping industry used to be, is how all industry would be in America if the government would get out of the way and let capitalism work.
My girlfriend works at a vape shop. She is being hit hard, but able to work a couple days a week.
The only thing that needed to be rectified were bad Chinese-made shit that was causing sickness and popcorn lung, not all flavored juices or all vaping in general.
Pisses me the fuck off, since she's actually at risk too. And all they can give her is $600..and I don't even think she got to claim the other stimulus before.
They--the mostly democrat swamps things and swamp hopefuls-- through local municipality bans, the FDA, etc., created a black market with vape products that included oils in liquids that caused deaths and lung injuries. The Chinese jumped right in on this with both feet, by the way.
They then tried to pin this blame on the legit vape industry! All that a sensible person had to do was look at Europe where there was not one death or injury to see what a crock of shit that was.
But it didn't matter to them. They created the panic in the public's mind, wrapped it in the usual 'for the childrun' bullshit, and dealt economic blows to small businesses.
Big tabocca and blue state govoners who have been losing tax revenue due to less people smoking and more people vaping. They would rather you die of cancer than lose even a dollar in tax revenue.
Make sure you don't buy vape oil from other countries, pede. Buying online can get you non-FDA approved chemicals that cause the liver problems from vaping. Also, why not help your fellow americans out anyway? 'Murica!
Yup and it's a multi-pronged approach to destroy the industry and get people back to smoking or big pharma's offerings: through the FDA with ridiculous cost and nonsense regulations of PMTA, local city bans that have shuttered shops and businesses, and now through the USPS.
