Ultimately speaking the amount of money given out is just a bandaid and we just need to re-open the economy instead of just printing money and causing inflation.

I agree but I disagree. Libertarian constitutionalist... I don't want the government handing out welfare to citizens. But as recognizing the war we are in Vs. the deep state, I have become more willing to put those principles aside. Trump needs the public support and this will hopefully get it. But I agree with you on principle.

At the end of the day, this is a solution to a problem caused BY the government

They’re the ones who forced businesses to close. Now they’re bailing them out.

Plus all the other shit. What does movie streaming, vaping and gender study research have to do with Covid? Disgraceful

I do want us to open up, but I'm not exactly a fan of the federal government stepping in and telling states to close down or open up. It should be left up to the local governments.

Of course it sucks if you have a shitty local government, but crawling to the federal government asking for help is a pretty terrible idea no matter who is in charge.

Fuck the local government. The decision to open or close should be up to the individuals.

Preach. Does the local government have the right to enslave innocent people in their own house? I don't fucking think so. This is about American rights not state's rights.

Really missing the point of my post. I'm not talking about some imaginary libertarian future or whatever you're going on about, I'm talking about how things are structured today.
