I would gladly read and contribute to any bill drafted collectively by this community before I would ever accept another bill coming from the demons running the show now. We have true patriot lawyers, economists, mathematicians, accountants, etc. that are far more competent here. I know the process is much more convoluted than I can imagine, but I've seen what this community has produced over the years and I am certain we could pull it off. And I'm also certain it wouldn't need to be 5,000 fucking pages long. But as for the question, is this possible?

Yep, with enough money. if you tried to advance a MAGA bill, you would need the best K street firm and enough money to outbid competition at this point, and prevent pork from slipping in once it gets to congress.

Now I have no idea what it would take to get congress to sign off on a pork free bill at this point. Perhaps if there were enough potential insider trading opportunities it would work.

Told my husband I learned today that Congress doesn’t write their bills.

Him: What do you mean?

Me: They sub it out to a firm or whatever.

Him: So they don’t write them they just vote on them?

Me: Yeah

Him: * blinks a couple of times, processing *

Me: * waiting for words of wisdom *

Him: Why the fuck are they there!? Just to vote and then they vote yes on bullshit like this? We don’t even need them.

Me: * hums the more you know jingle *

Yep. getting people to understand how legislation actually happens and what K street is, is a good thing. I hope you have been digging on Conservative Treehouse too, Sundance and the treepers have been tracking K street and related shit like the real nature of china trade for a decade now. Really eye opening stuff.

Last I heard they were at risk of deplatforming. How’s that coming along for them?

They got deplatformed, and we have now migrated to a larger, more secure tree. Still looks the same but far more under direct control, and everything got saved. So the Treehouse is functioning well.

Finance bills begin in the House.

So could any citizen feasibly give a drafted bill to a house member for them to submit?

the people who write the bills are the lobbyists now. they bribe the politicians with campaign donations and other things to get their preferred legislation passed. its disgusting but thats the system now.

I suppose so. What would come out the other side of the legislative process wouldn't resemble what you submit, though.

Congress is like a bullshit blizzard. Legislation rolls downhill gaining speed and mass.

You submit a bill to rename your local post office after a local kid won the Congressional Medal of Honor getting his ass shot off in some foreign country, and you can bet at least 5 billion in spending will be attached.
