Using the insurrection act will lose the majority of the American people. The optics of using troops would be devastating to Trump. Most Americans are not as eyes open as most of us and understand what is happening. Trump using troops would look EXACTLY like what the media has been saying about him for years. I'm not saying I don't think the IA is justified, I think it's 100% justified, but I don't think most Americans would see it that way. I know I"m going to get downvoted to hell for this, but if some of you think the majority of Americans are as rabid about defending this President as we are, you're fooling yourselves. Even though there is a huge number of people who feel the election was stolen, the majority of those people would not support the use of our military to change the election. Thats a bridge too far.

Normally might agree, but with huge swaths of the population angry about the COVID hoax, bundling POTUS action into anti Chinese action is a likely winner. It doesn't really require that much Trump loyalty to pull off. You can't tell me that even most moderates aren't ready for some long overdue perp walks in DC, they have simply given up and back to American Idol.
