These democrats and republicans who voted on this bill think the president is stupid. They think americans are stupid. And their foot wouldn't be so oppressively and confidently applied to the gas pedal if they thought there were any ramifications.

The Insurrection Act amendment was actually part of H.R. 6395, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2021.

The Insurrection act amendment everyone is flipped out about isn't in the covid bill, it was in the defense appropriations bill.

Shit like this makes me mistrustful of Lin Wood.

The executive branch isn't beholden to report to the legislative branch on matters of war, and a law does not change that. Trump could exercise power, then win at SCOTUS on grounds of necessary operational secrecy and separation of powers.

Yep, it’s unfortunate when someone leading the charge can’t even vet info from Twitter (assuming that’s where this started). He should know better as an attorney. Everything must be verified nowadays, especially from Twitter...
