I’m in two minds - the people he “abused” were 100% fully consenting adults.

Some of the girls were young, several younger than 18 years old. I think I’m remembering the details correctly.

Not from what I saw on that doco, The Vow. They were all adults, mostly women in their 30s. If I’m wrong and they were kids then sure absolutely lock him up. But my understanding is that they were all adults who gave enthusiastic consent.

Let me check quickly and see if I can find what I read earlier (last year, I think).

EDIT: I did a quick search, NY Post had a story in March 2019. Another story that got some coverage was a 12 year old that took years to recovered after Raniere “joyfully” raped her. There was a Mexican girl, unnamed, who was 15 at the time she had sex with this monster. Stories are easy to find, some news outlets look credible, I searched on “Raniere sex underaged girls”

Maybe, but that’s not what he’s been convicted of - it says “racketeering, sex trafficking, and possession of child porn”. It didn’t have any real detail about the charges. I still think he’s been mostly convicted (in the public mind at least, and probably the jury’s minds as well) of wrongdoing with respect to the women who got branded etc - and that shit was 100% consensual adults. I watched the whole series of The Vow, they never mentioned kids or girls once - they were all grown women.

I’m not saying he’s not a dirtbag, I’m sure he is. But I rather suspect that the sex he had was consensual at the time, they just changed their minds later. Kind of like Harvey Weinstein.
