Most small business owners are not rich. We work our asses off to make ends meet and cover expenses. The government has forced many of us to shut down and nearly bankrupt us and the Slimes is going to denigrate us by claiming that this bill gives us "the rich" some sort of sweetheart payoff, when in fact it merely clarifies that The IRS cannot make us pay taxes on emergency loans that may be forgiven and that the loans could be used to pay some expenses as well as employee salaries.
It is a bad bill that shouldn't be signed, but of all the awful things in this bill, the leftist NY Slimes could not resist taking a swipe at hardworking Americans who happen to own businesses instead of all the money going to foreign aid and 'unauthorized' aliens.
