It’s optics, if he gets the $2k but no pork removal, people bash him if he doesn’t sign. Raise the amount, and keep hammering the pork and they’ll have to remove it. Might even be cheaper afterwards
I think the real point in doing this is to the fact that no matter how much more money gets added they won’t touch the pork.
