He's a Republican in name only because there is no party that carries the MAGA agenda. Now that he's served for four years and going the momentum is there for him to create a new party. But as of now he has to run as a Republican.

I've been saying this from the start. He wanted to run as Democrat but it wasn't feasible. Can't recall details.
He's not a politician at all. He's a Citizen President.
As a lifetime Republican, I would like to see my party rehabilitated. I believe it is risky to split the vote. If in all races there was a GOP candidate, a Democrat Candidate, and a MAGA Party candidate, it seems like the Democrat will always win.
On the other hand, these RINOs are scum, and the GOP donor class is probably dominated by RINOs that really are league with the World Economic Forum types.
If it were honest, there would be two parties. The Populist Nationalist MAGA party, and the Globalist Elite Corrupt Criminal Party.
The Globalist party would be for the return to serfdom where nobody is allowed to own anything and dependent on services provided by gigantic corporations. They would be the party of SJWs, Antifa, BLM.
The MAGA party would be for people that value free speech, 2nd Amendment, capitalism and individual rights. They would be an American-First party.
I think it's far better to rehabilitate the Republican party, vote out the old establishment Republicans and elect MAGA supporters.
Trying to create a third party will only split the vote and there are many normies who aren't engaged enough to understand the real battle is globalism against nationalism.
