A good idea, but I’d rather bring back “no representation without taxation”
we originally had only property owners voting (women actually did vote but most weren’t property owners) part of the reason it was property owners only, was the federal government could only collect property taxes.
Today it’d Better to make it net taxation, if you took in more money from federal welfare programs, you would be unable to vote until you were a net tax payer again.
This would destroy the government’s ability to bribe citizens for votes (the more they give out they less voting supporters they’d have!) and stop citizens from voting for more prosperity.
oh no the system here says you've received more money from the govt than you paid in taxes? Oh you all just so happen to be republicans? oh well ain't that a shame.
This would make voting complicated and easy to stop people from being able to vote, when they should be able to
Disagree on the having naturalized citizens wait 20 years. Once someone is a citizen they deserve same rights as all citizens. Not second rate citizen simply because they weren’t born here. That’s a lot of elections to miss out on your rights
The easiest way to have True Representation with this as well is to have 8 of the 10 Seats in each State come from Rural Areas and the final Two come from Major Cities. If a State has more then two Major Cities in it, every one of those Major Cities holds a Double Primary, first to see which person gets the win for there party, second would be similar to a General Election with that person advancing to the overall Primary Field, when the regular Primary happens you would most likely end up with multiple names for the Same Party, from there it's simply who people want to see Advance to the General Election later in the year and then have that General Election for who Represents that District.

I will side with your truer definition of prosperity over my more sarcastic version any time.

Okay you can keep the unproductive idiots voting for more socialism on the rolls then.
This seems like a great idea. Also, let’s remove all the election fraud and see where that leaves us, red state-wise.

And how do you propose to do this?
