If you are going to drop "bombshells".... at least use the right methodology/terminology and not sound like you are just all over the map. A thermostat hacking a dominion machine? really? So the Thermostat was used as a backdoor into a network.... This still requires an internet connection to the the network and thermostat.... Just technologically impractical.

There's definitely something off about this guy. He keeps saying all kinds of crazy shit with absolutely zero verification. I don't know what to believe about him, because nobody is calling him out as a bullshitter, despite his crazy claims.

Having said that... are you retarded? Have you not heard of a smart thermometer before? It's not technologically impractical at all. It's quite common for thermostats to hook up to the internet these days. Landlords install them to keep track of heating costs or control them. There's even been lawsuits about it.

No i'm not retarded, retard. I just understand how many of these things work. You can connect the damn thing to your network... but without a internet connection you can't control them or enable outside communication into the network. That is my point. Nobody cares if this thing was inside and connected to the network. If there is no external connectivity, there is no connectivity to provide an attack vector.
