If you are going to drop "bombshells".... at least use the right methodology/terminology and not sound like you are just all over the map. A thermostat hacking a dominion machine? really? So the Thermostat was used as a backdoor into a network.... This still requires an internet connection to the the network and thermostat.... Just technologically impractical.

um... have you been to home depot recently? Smart tech for home appliances has been around for a while. I just want a damn model number of the thermostat, or brand, or type.

Just because a smart thermostat is in the closet doesn't mean anything. There has to be a connection to the outside world for this device to provide an attack vector into the network to the machines.
