My opinion for better or worse... Fantasy in every form sells. People hate normal, they want the heroes behind the scenes saving America because their lives are so boring.. Plus it gives them hope. My only problem with any of that type of thinking is it makes people compliant, because they believe things can and will change without them actually doing anything to change it.
