I’m new to the east coast, anyone have advice about trying to drive up from Charlotte to DC on the 5th? I’m mainly concerned about snow between here and there, never made this drive before. I don’t want to get stuck somewhere, can’t risk missing work on the 7th...

Make sure that you get the Waze app which will be helpful, especially as you get closer to DC. The traffic can get pretty snarly the closer you get to rush hour. Getting from Charlotte to 95 is all highway, so it's not a hard drive. I95 can be kinda stressful, because it's heavily trafficked with 18 wheelers. I'd printout some maps to have just incase. It would be rare to have a snowstorm that would affect driving. I went to college in Raleigh, and any snow we had was pretty much in February. In the off chance there is snow, it will most likely light. safe travels!

The apps recommended in other comments are good. Search AAA for winter car kit checklist. Top off on windshield washer fluid, carry extra and buy an ice scraper /snow brush.

Try to meet at rebel rally point or intercept in Lumberton based on travel time estimate.
