Eh...pretty reductionist. The serious infiltration of communism into the Catholic Church appears to have started in the 50’s. And this was contemporaneous with the attack by existentialism. Both forces melded nicely into an attack on divine providence and the “Great Chain of Being”. Some of these same forces had been operating outside the Church since the French Revolution, trying to find a way in, but in the mid 20th century they succeeded.
So, no, it wasn’t Soros and the Dems. This far preceded them.
