Israel is doing what they do best, play both sides of the fence, never be loyal to one side. If we don't meet their funding "requirements", they will go to the Russians/Chinese and fall within their sphere of influence.

We basically go out of our way to try to control the world. The way we do this is not through force, but through money. Money to rig elections in random smaller countries within our sphere of influence or to win over and keep leaders of the smaller countries inside our sphere and willing to do our bidding. This has been the strategy ever since the end of WW2. Basically an isolated country will do poorly economically and be eventually starved out.
