Give it to Ted or Rand and I'm sure they can take turns. That should take until about August to finish it. permalink parent save report block reply ▲ 4 ▼ – PrecisionStrike 4 points 112 days ago +4 / -0 If they have enough votes to override a veto, they have enough votes to stop a filibuster. permalink parent save report block reply ▲ 3 ▼ – Bronski 3 points 112 days ago +3 / -0 Please read Constitution Article 1, Section 7, second paragraph. permalink parent save report block reply ▲ 4 ▼ – T-Bear 4 points 112 days ago +4 / -0 This is dead on Constitutional grounds. Read the entire Bill on Cspan and alternate media?
That would be awesome.
Maybe try reading the bill aloud. Give it to Ted or Rand and I'm sure they can take turns. That should take until about August to finish it.
If they have enough votes to override a veto, they have enough votes to stop a filibuster.
Please read Constitution Article 1, Section 7, second paragraph.
This is dead on Constitutional grounds.
However, there is precedence for these unConstitutional budget bills coming from the Senate.
It was the Senate version of Obamacare, not the House version, which ultimately passed.
When taken to SCOTUS, good ol' John Roberts declared the mandate a TAX.
This had the effect of declaring this to be a TAX bill originating from the Senate, and not the House, like the Constitution states it ought to be.
Like what Michigan tried to do to the Trump electors?
I think Trump needs to enact the IA.
He can’t let congress restrict his right to invoke the IA.
