I am affected, but I will wait to see who wins before taking any action, as they should have done.

I sent a support ticket when they had closed some of my markets prematurely and they stated that if in fact the Prediction i had made was correct. They would honor it. Just had to send a support ticket again with the markets in question. Hopefully they keep their word. Thank you for organizing this

That is great news. Do I need to send a support ticket also to be honored for my bet?

I had some money in the WI, MI, NV market for trump. They just closed that for some reason although they added a disclaimer saying due to the Supreme Court ruling that COVID wasn't an excuse for Indefinite Confinement and those votes would be unlawful and they would wait for the litigation to play out. (Closed like 2 or 3 days later) So lets say they are able to produce a voter roll and evidence to the courts regarding that argument. Once the Court deems those votes unlawful and throws them out and WI gets flipped to Trump. That's when I would need to send a support ticket to them stating that my prediction was right and they closed too early.

At least that's how i understood it. If you want to send them a support ticket earlier just to confirm. Wouldn't hurt

This is the exact message that they sent :

Hi there,

Thank you for your message. If PredictIt has in fact settled for the wrong outcome, and you owned shares in the correct outcome when the market closed, then proper restitution would be appropriate.

So, if the final certified or official results do turn out as you predicted, you certainly should contact us here through PredictIt Support for resolution, in accordance with Section 13 of PredictIt’s terms of service to which you have agreed.

At that time, we would ask that you please identify which specific markets are the subject of your complaint.

Thank you very much for your interest and participation in this academic project.

Thanks, Nick PredictIt Support Team

Make sure to go to Predictit > Account > History and export your Trades/Deposits info for your records.

And for whatever it's worth, here is the reply I received from support:

Yes I am affected. They called it wrong on every single one of them.

Yea, I was effected. They kinda fucked me. They then closed the ones that weren't closed, recently. They added a message saying that they won't change anything on "unloyal" electors. So basically if they disagree, then they won't give you shit. That's illegal. Electors or any other legal means of giving the votes to Trump means that the votes given to biden were fraud. Fraudulent votes do not count towards the vote total. In their rules it says whoever won the "popular" vote. So by their terms, we should be winning. They just don't want to have to pay out Biden and Trump supporters. I'll see what visa/mastercard can do about fraud. I don't see them coming to even when Trump wins

I appreciate this thread and have a lot at stake.

One thing to be careful of is that their Terms of Service discusses something about confidentiality in settling disputes. Definitely do not mention anyone else other than yourself when speaking with them.

After reading their terms, I think there are parallels to the arbitration strategy used against Patreon earlier this year by their users...if it comes to that.

First thing is first, we got to get the state legislators do decertify and / or pick new electors so we can get POTUS installed.

Hopefully Predictit does the right thing.... They probably have insurance for this type of thing.

In the mean time, I'm saving this thread to holler back when things get a little bit clearer so we can compare notes, documentation, and possibly strategize. This is the craziest shit ever.

Thanks again, As somone mentioned below, the key to overturning one of these will be the documentation, so having people to share with will be vital.

SEE Y'ALL ON JANUARY 6!!

I bet money on Trump wins in Georgia and New Mexico. In my opinion these races are not over until Joe Biden (or Donald Trump) are inaugurated. The soonest they can be considered “over” is January 6th.

We all know Trump won Georgia in a landslide and I believe he won New Mexico as well. What can we do?

What?

Yes, I lost money on Predictit. What's the plan? Are we suing? (When I click on the telegram link, it doesn't work for some reason on my Mac.)

I had money on both the general, and multiple state level bets. I cashed out just before the hammer came down.
