Pretty sure some of the GOP was in on it back in 2018 as well.

Think about it, if the GOP lets the Dems have the house, then they aren't the bad guys when no useful laws can be passed or Trump needs to make deals to get useful laws on the table.

This way the GOP can scream "we support President Trump" while not being forced to do anything to actually support him.
