I still listen to a MN podcast for garage logic. They are critical of trump for his “lack of decorum” but still a fun show. I remember listening to a similar caller, talking about how FDR showed up in his home town in somewhere is SD where FDR realized he didn’t have decent shoes and sent an aid out to get him a pair for a buck or two. He said it made him vote for democrat forever after that gesture. 60-70 years later that guy was still looking for the government to solve his problems. I remember yelling at the radio to call him out for what he was, a complete and utter failure. To that day he was still completely reliant on government support.
