He was convicted on tax evasion- paying 30K on a 200K renovation from a contractor trying to get the nod to do business in the city, and failed to disclose it during vetting when he was nominated for Secretary of Homeland Security.
He got the book thrown at him by the judge- a personal friend of Chuck Schumer. 4 years, instead of the normal restitution and fines.
So he lost his job, caught 8 felonies, got fined, and spent time in prison for what amounted to less than an average wednesday for Hunter.
