Hi there like minded pedes, im a trump loving dual citizen currently living in canada but our country is going to shit RAPIDLY and I am looking to relocate. Was wondering if anyone cared to share some amazing hidden gem cities in red states that would welcome a new patriot to the mix.
Currently Florida is leading the way because of favourable taxes, ron desantis and warm weather, but would consider any location North or South. Love to ski, so if it is going to be not Florida or Texas I would love to be near-ish to a half decent slope!
I've been a based trump supporter since the beginning, and let me tell you the situation up here is growing more hopeless by the day, our conservatives have no backbone at all. I cannot stand the lockdowns and corona hoax for one more minute.
Really appreciate everyone here and your amazing memes/knowledge and love for freedom!
South Dakota
Particular town?
You basically have two choices. Rapid City (about an hour away from Mt. Rushmore) or Sioux Falls. Sioux Falls is larger and is a relatively liberal college town. Rapid City is a bit smaller but is more conservative. Sioux Falls is right on the boarder of Minnesota.
The western side of the state (near rapid city) has nicer weather. It can still get cold but like -10F instead of -20F. This year has been particularly nice so far with weather in the 40s for the most part and little snow. One October we had enough snow in one day I couldn’t leave my office because the snow was physically making it impossible to open the doors. Weather is extremely swingy in South Dakota.
There are some small towns throughout the state but those are the only real cities. Mitchell is a smaller town in the middle of the state, it’s a college town as well.
Edit: I guess there is also Pierre, which is the Capitol; but I didn’t even think of it as a place because I have so little interaction with it in 7 years living here.
Thanks for the advice, and snow is something we are extremely accustomed to, and extreme cold. No problems with that. Any good skiing west of Rapid City?
I’m not the best person to ask as I’m not a skier
