Just some context:I’ve got my apartment to myself for a few days, and decided to spend the day at my parents’ while working (I work from home). All of the women on this zoom call are liberal. They’re all talking about how great life will be once everyone is vaccinated. My mom admitted to taking the trial vaccine. I’m just thinking the entire time “Yeah, you’ll enjoy your social lives with a limited lifespan...” I can’t persuade my mom to not partake in any of this. She’s a nurse who works for a nonprofit that thrives off of providing healthcare to illegal immigrants (not that they don’t need the help, but Americans pay premiums for the same care). I tried to bring all of the failed trials to her attention. I’m seriously hoping that this vaccine terror is all a LARP and that I’m dead wrong. Don’t want to lose my parents early.
