Not dooming... but these pardons are a sign of potential doubt in sticking around. We are quick to point out moves that make it seem as though Trump isn’t going anywhere... we must also acknowledge moves like this and the potential doubt for re-election.

I thought this too, but if he was worried about not being in for 4 more years he could've pardoned all these people on January 19. Instead he did it right before Christmas, seems kind. No way of knowing though, if we could figure Trump out so could his enemies.
