Awesome question. Never thought of it that way.

Confirms my position that nobody in congress gives a shit about the people. To get to that level in politics, you HAVE to be corrupt in some way.

Republicans in congress always talk a good storm and sometimes push through half hearted measures, but they often compromise in order to push corporate friendly trade deals and war spending among other things.

After getting scraps in return for policies we don't agree with, they expect praise saying the democrats would take it all, so keep voting for us so you don't lose everything.

I'm thinking if that were true, that there were actually some non-corrupted conservatives, that they would be sneaking in pro-gun, anti-illegal-immigration, and/or pro-life legislation into the omnibus.

Instead, the perceived "good ones" like Cruz and Rand, bloviate and bluster. And vote against things when they are going to pass anyway.

Just imagine what these bills would look like if these scumbags actually worked for and represented us.

Current evidence seems to be point to self-preservation of both their interests, and the existing status quo.

It’s like Tom and Jerry. They pretend to hate each other but are secretly best friends, each preserving the need of the other. Until their owner gets fed up and gets a real mouse catcher to finally catch Jerry

Because they don't fear their voters due to the fact that all they do is post:

"Fuck around and find out" for like, years

or

"Trust Barr" up until like a week ago

or because apparently you can steal an election in AZ, WI, NV, WI, PA and GA and all people will do is type

"Hold the line"

on a website

Yeah I've gotten fed up with inaction lately.

The recent posts with phone numbers and emails have been beautiful. We need more actionable posts here

Keep espousing the calls to action, it's working. I'm seeing the culture shift here to one of Activism (not in the dirty leftist sense but in the proud act of making your voice heard)

Dude, its so tiresome.

Wouldn't take any real violence at all, thats why its so frustrating. Imagine if 25k - 50k people had surrounded the Capitol in GA for two weeks. Same elsewhere.

Imagine if we did anything but a flag waving show of support march for three hours then went home like the last two absurd events in DC. "Welp, its getting dark. Time to head home or hit the hotel bar before Antifa shows up." Complete nonsense.

The Biden tour came to Texas pre election and all we did is shadow them everywhere for a day and a half and they freaked out, cut and run.

What I didn't expect is the amount of people here flat out resistant to any real, constant (days on end) big ass, angry protest while they larp about some coming "civil war" only after Biden takes office.

4
1in1024th 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yeah if we can't be bothered to do the big protests, what makes people think we would be bothered enough to fight?

I don't get how Georgia pedes aren't up in the faces of their govt right now

My hatred for R's has gone beyond that of D's. I know the D's are evil, dirty bastards. But these R's are worse because they've sided with the enemy and lied about who they are. Sounds like a typical politician but this year has brought it out into the light for everyone to see and they aren't hiding it anymore.

Yeah we're hanging the dems publicly but everyone's going to get a round in the torture chamber for the Rs if I had anything to say about it

Great question. It's funny how such a simple line of thought is never realized even by people like us who are so invested in these things. All it takes is a poignant question to make you realize something you've missed for years of being redpilled. And the redpill gets a little darker.

Preach. Why aren't we using repeal NFA as a poison pill?

Worst case: bill we didn't want passes... giggle switches for everyone

Because many of them are Pussies - they sold out to ChYna and others to line their pockets and are being blackmailed - Chief Justice Roberts is a good example - the only question is 'does he like little girls or little boys'? - doesn't matter to me, he should have to resign in shame and face consequences.

They don’t believe in anything but their power

2
les_vegetables 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not sure why nobody else has said it, but maybe because we shouldn’t need to “sneak” in legislation when it’s actually in the best interest of the citizens? There’s no doubt that the swamp is infested with RINOs, but we can’t get mad at the few true patriots who are left for not sinking to the level of the libs’ nefarious tactics

I agree that now’s the time to fight fire with fire, but it just doesn’t seem fair to make wild accusations at those who held their principles and lost. They should be judged on what they do now rather than condemned for holding out hope that justice would prevail instead of cheating the system this whole time like the dems.

You're right but Ted Cruz certainly fit into that category and it seems like he's finally getting red pilled, I guess I'm just hoping for as many current RINOs to step up to the plate in the time of need since that's what'll help us the most in the next few weeks vs the next few years

They aren't writing the bills. Wake up. Our elected officials haven't been doing their jobs for decades.

No, it's because they don't play dirty. Sure we don't like them, and they are often turncoats, but at least they don't try this shady shit.

We need a lot of things, and actual representatives is definitely one of them.

1
G_regulator 1 point ago +1 / -0

The democrats set the adgenda and republicans try to reign in the insanity. It's called political theatre. It's designed to make your think your vote matters but all they do is narrow the discourse so you don't question the parameters of the argument.

1
2SCOOPS2TERMS410 1 point ago +1 / -0

because all but 6 are closet democrats

1
MySidesGoUp 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is why we can’t rely on govt. they’re grifters who seek ink only self preservation making allies with other lazy, dependents to govt.

We need to reward smaller govt

1

It's time for AMERICA FIRST PARTY. (maga).

1
myswedishfriend 1 point ago +1 / -0

Because compromise in DC only goes one direction. Because the Democrats would throw a fit about how awful the bill was, refuse to vote for it, and the media would have their back.
