He didn’t defect.

He was forced there.

That’s a well documented, openly reported and publicly seen aspect of the original story.

Russia was not his first choice.

Like you’re entitled to maintain a different opinion but anyone who followed the story at the time would understand you to be ignorant of the facts.

YOU DON'T KNOW THAT.

I’m kind of done fighting about poor quality arguments for the day but access to his communications alone seems like a good enough deal for Russia.

This is a goalpost move for sure though.

I don’t think Snowden has even been happy about that relationship.

Regardless he was going to be forced to go somewhere. So you would be able to make this unsourced assumption about any nation he was living in.

People like you want his head on a pike. I would have peaced too. Such a shame. He is on the side of freedom and the constitution. You are on the side of a surveillance police state.

This is a silly argument.

When they spied on Trump tower did Trump stick around and let them continue to spy “like a man”.

There’s literally nothing wrong with taking advantage of opportunities to protect yourself.

Did the founders throw the tea off the boat and stick around to let the British arrest them.

Please.

Total American war casualties are less than a million in history so I’m not sure how so many have faced certain death.

Not only that but exactly how does anything in your argument separate Assange from Snowden at all?!?!?
