Seriously I have no idea why some guys think that. Plenty of women Trump supporters and gamers. In fact, some of the most hardcore Trump supporters I know are women (particularly suburban women)
As a lifelong geek, who just happens to be built like a freaking nose tackle, it's more a matter of scarcity, especially with the more extreme depths of gaming, eg. my baby sisters never picked up miniature wargaming like myself and The Old Man, they did pick up appreciation for board games, various video games and other geek subtypes.
