I thought that DDG donates to leftists orgs is pretty well known? They just do not appear to have compromised their search engine, at least not nearly to the degree that google has.
This was the first article that came up when I searched for "duckduckgo far left donations" so I'll give them credit for not censoring results. But they are not our friends, see link and highlighted example of the propaganda machine at work.
They just "piggy-back" off google anyway, so you see the exact same results as if you'd just used google. I will never understand the DDG infatuation that so many on the right have(or had).

Duck duck go has a terrible user experience. They still track you and most likely sell your info. I hate it but I rather use Google
