My wife’s hospital just purchased a slew of rapid testing machines for the wuhan flu....that are 50% accurate out of the box. FIFTY FUCKING PERCENT! Why not flip a damn coin? They are required by the state to report all numbers with no mention of this atrocious accuracy rate.

Built as intended
If the machines give a 50% false positive error rate, they are not testing machines, they are 'number of cases' generator machines.
The intent is two-fold.
To force the hospitals to call 50% of incoming patients 'covid-19 patients'. This will overwhelm the covid-19 units to generate news stories a of 'spike' in Covid-19 hospitalizations and deaths.
To increase the number of cases to justify lockdowns.

How do they even know they’re inaccurate? I would think the machines are the “final word”
They were told by administration that the tests are 50% accurate “as per the manufacturer”, but that the state wants the numbers reported regardless
