Take your vitamins and calm the fuck down. Stress weakens your immune system.
3000-5000 IUs vitamin D
20-50mg zinc
any zinc ionophore (dosages vary)
-Quercetin
-EGCG from green tea extract
-A whole onion
-HCQ/CQ/Quinine: these are harder to acquire/dose properly
Take these three daily, or every other day, and your immune system will rock. Bonus, most men are zinc deficient and it hurts their testosterone production.
Optional extras for immune health:
Vitamin C
Elderberry extract
Echinacea
Selenium
Niacin

You can overdose. In very extreme and very rare cases, that can kill you.
It's "oil based" so your body stores it. If you take too much of a water soluble vitamin your body will excrete it.
Your body creates vitamin D with sunlight.
If you are outside in the sun all the time, you probably don't need to supplement or not much. Part of the reason flu may drop in the summer is people spend more time outdoors and their bodies make enough "D". Of course the lockdowns have screwed this up.
If you can actually get in to see your doctor, they can test your Vitamin D levels and determine if you have enough, too much or not enough.
Warnings aside, there's a bottle of D and Zinc on the shelf around here.
You make something like 50,000 IU's of Vitamin D with 10 min of direct sunlight exposure. Taking 4,000 IU's in supplement form is unlikely to be what pushes you over.
The 3-5k IUs does comes from the recommendation of Dr. Michael Yeadon. It's possible to overdo it, but not at these quantities. Far more likely to be deficient in winter.
I'd have to dig up the NIH links but the worst symptoms of respiratory illness do not appear in those with plenty of vitamin D, and vitamin D deficiency exists in the worst cases of respiratory illness. We could dramatically reduce normal annual illness by getting this info out there, but the profit for it is so small.

It takes an awful lot of Vitamin D to OD, I mean a lot. 37-50mg/KG is the LD50.
It takes a lot to kill you quickly, but less than LD to screw up your metabolism and it builds up over time if you take more than your body needs.
"Vitamin D toxicity" is the search term.
Don't overdo it, that's all.
By the time you have vitamin d toxicity, you've already got other issues going on that would show up.
