It takes an awful lot of Vitamin D to OD, I mean a lot. 37-50mg/KG is the LD50.

It takes a lot to kill you quickly, but less than LD to screw up your metabolism and it builds up over time if you take more than your body needs.

"Vitamin D toxicity" is the search term.

Don't overdo it, that's all.

I did the same, but with 15000 IU daily along with K2. Doing that since 2015, last blood test showed optimum Vitamin D levels.

To overdose Vit D you need to take 50000 IU daily for over 6 months or longer.
