Well, I at least always noticed.

The problem is that he is not attacking the spending that makes all the other spending palatable to the population and why they never paid attention before.

In fact, he asked for an increase in that spending.

Remember TARP? $700 billion for TARP and another $280 billion in money laundering slush funds?

Congress and the President... Ok, we will give Americans $200 Billion, and that makes the Americans happy, but the spending bill is a a trillion dollars.

Here it was $900 billion bill, American Citizens getting $166 billion, I think there was a bit over $250 billion for payroll protection plan for small businesses. Then the rest is for the money laundering slush funds. Apparently getting only $600 per person was the problem, make it $2000 and it is all better...
