Don't fall into the NYT trap. Yes Trump said give people $2,000 so Nancy Pelosi just crossed out $600 and wrote in $2,000.

IT'S THE SAME BILL.

Seems Pelosi is introducing a standalone porkless bill for $2000 on Monday.

Let it come at the expense of the politicians who willingly shut down the state they let fall into disarray.

Pede3 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nah. Take out some of the obvious foreign aid pork. Red PA is kept hostage by the governor the same as the blue cities. #IdidntvoteforWolf

crazyjackel 18 points ago +18 / -0

It will probably have something else ridiculous in it that will force the GOP to be upset.

10
Bramble 10 points ago +10 / -0

Make it $10,000 each. That also costs $3 trillion.

Same cost, except nothing goes to corporate or international interests.

Uber fired 25% of its workforce and claimed it had enough cash reserves to be fine during COVID-1984. Several other companies have done the same thing.

I know why PPP was created and its purpose to stop this kind of thing, but if you would just give the money to the people rather than filter it through their employer, works out better for the employee because it's not also taxed.

I've also heard of companies saying, "The stimulus check was to help you guys, and the government money coming to us was to help us." They tried not covering the wages from the whole shutdown. No, dickhead, that money wasn't meant for you to buy a new boat or summer home. Fucking faggots.

"COVID-1984" I AM STEALING THIS!!!

sociopathix 2 points ago +2 / -0

I can't remember where I first saw it, but when I saw it, the whole world came into focus and everything was somehow better. lol You're welcome to it!

How abound no money for anything and let the govt shut down forever. We only need a military and a replacement two branches.

3
JuicyfearsMAGA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah , doubt that

Pfffftttt yea right.

Both parties want to make Trump look bad. When I see a porkless $2000 bill then I will believe it. Their intent is apparent with the initial bill sent to President Trump.

Good news is that it no longer matters how Trump looks, we already voted 😎

3
Literally_Whitmer 3 points ago +3 / -0

At least the Republicans are rejecting all the other BS in it now. It was really concerning that the original shitfest passed with a 90% majority. If that didn't change, they could've overridden the veto and kept all that stuff, including the Insurrection Act clause.

They didn't know we were watching so closely. They know better for now, until they think we aren't watching again.

Trump said to also get rid of ALL the wasteful spending. So yes, he will also veto this.

They never should have been our problem. Best thing America could ever do is lead by example and leave it at that. If other countries want to be great we can educate them but we absolutely should never throw our Country's wealth at them like we have done since the World Wars ended.

4
guten_morgen 4 points ago +4 / -0

Exactly. I'm not sure when, as a taxpayer, I agreed to fund the fucking world

clara__ 1 point ago +1 / -0

Even if you accept that argument the only thing this bill is helping with is filling some politicians' pockets; zero of this money would have been used for actual genuine aid.

Not to mention a lot of aid systems are set up to keep people in permanently needy condition so they can continue getting funding.

That's what I keep trying to explain to people. The GOP and DNC passed the last pork bill almost unanimously. They both want the bullshit

4

4
sociopathix 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yeah, and they want to keep the original bill and get it past Trump's veto for that reason. I have a feeling that Mitch and/or McCarthy got something in this deal that he/they really wanted, and if the bill doesn't pass, he/they did their part to sell out Trump too early and got fucked.

1
concealedaces 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think the ruling class(both sides) are overplaying their hand and doing it much too soon.

2
sociopathix 2 points ago +2 / -0

They're hungry. They've been running on reduced taxpayer graft for 4 years now.

1
concealedaces 1 point ago +1 / -0

Gotta have that fake opposition. Think of all the things we missed in the spending bills while obama was in and GOP "controlled" congress. Can you say controlled opposition, I bet they all made some backroom deals.

2
sociopathix 2 points ago +2 / -0

Of course they did. If they really stood by what they always say, they wouldn't have passed a single spending bill. But I only remember maybe two instances where there was a risk of the government not getting funded, and one time they let the US credit rating take a hit because they wouldn't negotiate.

I think that was the time that RINOs and Dems both needed to bribe some politicians with the triangle trade, but they didn't won't both spends in a single bill.

4

First sign people should have noticed is that it was published by NYT and reported by others. Why the fuck do people fall for headlines when they KNOW the source is bullshit?

That pork is paying off those countries for the DS. That's why Trump wants it gone.

2

Their smart phones all have calculators. Fucking use it swamp dwellers

2
GreatHumungous 2 points ago +2 / -0

Trump clearly said he wants all the pork out of it then make it $2,000

2
DonsPetPepe 2 points ago +2 / -0

Imagine writing out a 6000 page bill for nothing. A pede can only hope.

"NEO-PATRIOTS" please wake up! This evil has been going on for decades! The problem is low information, lazy, self-absorbed people couldn't be bothered with listening to us crazy conspiracy theorists who have, fought, died, been imprisoned and lost everything trying to warn you and now we are all reaping what your wilfull ignorance and apathy have sown! So STOP with the knee jerk reactions to every story. STOP, REASON, RESEARCH FIRST!

Cool. Thanks for the attitude realignment.

2
mjm128 2 points ago +2 / -0

If Republicans want to win the political news cycle they should introduce a clean stimulus bill. Extended unemployment insurance, checks to citizens, and liability coverage for businesses following legally passed health rules related to covid-19.

They are trying to bribe you with your own money.

They are adding more debt (that’s what it is) to give you an extra $1800 and are KEEPING the bloated shit like money to VENEZUELA.

remember what Venezuela did in their last election? Remember when Venezuela tried to ram a cruise ship and got sunk? They are willing to give money to communism enemies and spit in your face. This is a sad joke that needs to be met with action

He is right about it, but are his reasons the correct reasons? I'll take killing the bill and not complain about that, but is he killing it because it still has the pork in it or his he killing it to just play uniparty politics?

3
concealedaces 3 points ago +3 / -0

Let's be honest, it's uniparty bullshit. He voted for all that pork the first time

2
SludgeWarehouse 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, for sure. These crooks are so transparent. I can't believe more people don't wise up.

1
concealedaces 1 point ago +3 / -2

Except he voted for it earlier???? He's just another swamp monster with a limp wrist

1
Reborned20 1 point ago +1 / -0

These bills are written by Foreign Paid Lobbyists DC Law Firms and International Foundations on K-Street and Water Street.

They intentionally make them 5000 pages of boiler plate so America can not read them in time to Reject.

When is America going to write its own Bills ?

Where is the conservative foundation in this, are conservatives ever involved in writing these bills?

1
dldeuce 1 point ago +1 / -0

As if Pelosi wanted the bill passed calling for unanimous consent. None of these fuckers wanted the bill passed. Oh almost every one of them GOP and Dems wanted to give away all our free money overseas and to illegals here. It's not free money though. Someone's got to work to earn that money. Of course they don't want to give our money back. They want us to pay for it.

-3
VaporJet2 -3 points ago +2 / -5

It is not. The bill had $600.00, Trump wanted $2000.00. Trump will veto the other bill.

7
Knowbody 7 points ago +8 / -1

He didn't veto it just because it was $600 vs $2000. He vetoed it because it was also throwing much more money to all sorts of shit, including to countries like Iran and Pakistan.
